Weavix has raised money by developing smart radios for the frontline workers

Since the invention of smartphones, the usage of radios and “walkie-talkies” has been reduced but not entirely stopped. The modes of contact on a smartphone are various, like voice and video calling on multiple platforms, texting, and many more. But Weavix observed that many frontline workers were still turning to the “walkie-talkie” mode of contact on their smartphones too. To keep up with the ever-changing world of technology, Kevin Turpin, the co-founder and CEO of Weavix, came up with radios specific to helping organizations communicate with the frontline workforce. Tupin mentioned in an interview that inventing smart radios as a ground-breaking solution would make things easier between the management and the workers. The CEO also said that it was a great opportunity with all the inventions taking place in the frontline worker market.

Weavix stands out from its competitors because its radios support live and recorded video messaging. The radios also allow the frontline workers to text, translate, and transcribe. The backend managers can send alerts to a bunch of radios at the same time, as well as organize and analyze news reported by the workers. This allows the managers to give the workers the necessary instructions. Tupin mentions that equipping every worker with an electronic device could cause the loss of essential data. It went on record that these radios would demolish communication barriers within an organization.
