Fastech has partnered with Meltio to become a US sales partner for its AM solutions

Meltio, based in Linares, Spain, has announced the addition of Fastech Inc., located in Danville, Virginia, USA, to its US manufacturing partner network. Fastech specializes in additive and subtractive manufacturing services, utilizing Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), CNC, and reverse engineering techniques to offer comprehensive manufacturing solutions across various industries. The collaboration aims to bolster Fastech's capabilities, particularly with the integration of the Meltio Engine Robot, which enables the printing of metals within a six-axis robotic system. This advancement allows for the production of large titanium components and other reactive alloys while ensuring consistent quality standards. Fastech highlights the advantages of the Meltio Engine Robot Integration in manufacturing large, complex components with intricate features while maintaining excellent mechanical properties.

Additionally, Fastech emphasizes its post-processing services, including five-axis machining, comprehensive dimensional inspection, and nondestructive and destructive testing, to provide a holistic solution for Directed Energy Deposition (DED) needs. The technology utilizes commodity welding wire, known for its cleanliness, safety, and cost-effectiveness, and seamlessly integrates with both robotic and CNC equipment, expanding metal additive manufacturing capabilities across industries.
