Kawasaki robots equipped with Olis’ remote monitoring and error recovery drastically reduces unplanned downtime

Olis Robotics, renowned for its expertise in remote error recovery for industrial robots, has unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Kawasaki Robotics Inc., a prominent provider of industrial robots and automation solutions. This collaboration aims to empower customers with expedited production restarts, a reduction in troubleshooting and downtime costs by as much as 90%, and rapid access to expert support. The partnership involves integrating Olis units with Kawasaki robot arms, offering a mutually beneficial arrangement for integrators and their clientele. Users can establish direct connections to their robots via an on-premises device, ensuring security while bypassing the complexities associated with cloud-based systems.

Additionally, Olis Robotics prioritizes physical safety by adhering to the safety restrictions set by the robot controller. To showcase their joint venture, Kawasaki and Olis Robotics will team up with CRG Automation at MODEX 2024 in Atlanta, GA, booth #C5475, from March 11 to 14. A cutting-edge robotic cornerboard system, integrated with a mixed palletizing and depalletizing cell featuring a Kawasaki RS007L robot, will be demonstrated. This system automates the placement of corner boards on pallets during wrapping, enhancing overall load stability, and can handle multiple SKUs of unstructured products. Equipped with Olis Robotics' remote error recovery software, attendees can witness real-time alerts and recovery processes in action following system failures.
