IWC Food Service
The Silicon Review
20 February, 2024

IWC Food Service will maintain operations at its 160,000-square-foot facility too

US Foods, a food service distributor, has reached an agreement to acquire IWC Food Service, a broadline distributor headquartered in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA. This acquisition aligns with US Foods' strategy for expansion and will facilitate its entry into the central Tennessee region, where it currently lacks a distribution center. With annual revenue exceeding $200 million, IWC Food Service caters to over 2,700 independent restaurants, constituting half of its customer base, along with other clients. IWC Food Service will maintain operations at its 160,000-square-foot facility and will continue to serve customers at its local Cash-and-Carry store.

Dave Flitman, CEO of US Foods, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition in the statement that the company warmly welcomes the dedicated associates of IWC Food Service to US Foods as it persists in strategically expanding the US Foods network and supporting new and existing customers across the region. Bob Mackie, president of IWC Food Service, shared his thoughts, saying that the organization is privileged to join US Foods and appreciates its ongoing commitment to investing in IWC Food Service and the devoted and motivated team members who contribute to the business's success every day. The acquisition is slated to conclude in the second quarter of 2024, pending regulatory approval. However, specific financial details regarding the transaction were not disclosed.
