US banking giant  has appointed its new international chief information security officer (CISO)

Delaney, who is set to be stationed in Dublin, will assume a reporting relationship under Matthew McCormack, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at BNY Mellon. McCormack holds the reins of the bank's Information Security Division, which shoulders the vital responsibility of ensuring the protection and security of its esteemed clients' assets. Before joining BNY Mellon, Delaney held the prestigious role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Bank of Ireland (BOI) for a tenure exceeding four years. Delaney's tenure at BOI was marked by a steadfast commitment to fortifying cybersecurity protocols and ensuring the robust resilience of the institution's digital infrastructure. Before his tenure at BOI, Delaney amassed a wealth of experience in the financial sector, holding pivotal positions at AIB Group. His roles at AIB Group included serving as the head of technical architecture and spearheading the cybersecurity transformation initiative, solidifying his reputation as a stalwart figure in the realm of information security.
