ProShop provided ERP Technology to Purdue Engineering School

The ProShop Digital Ecosystem will be used as the inventory management and ERP system at Purdue University’s Industrial Engineering School

ProShop ERP has forged a collaboration with Purdue University's Industrial Engineering School (IE), donating seats in its ProShop Digital Ecosystem to aid in establishing a cutting-edge manufacturing lab. The IE program is focused on integrating top-notch infrastructure and technology to adequately prepare students for careers spanning smart manufacturing, supply chain resilience, AI, and machine learning, among other areas. Utilizing the ProShop Ecosystem, the school plans to develop a 10,000-square-foot, automated "factory floor" within its manufacturing lab space, dedicated to teaching and executing lights-out manufacturing operations. The objective is to educate students on implementing a lights-out process comprehensively, encompassing the management of production planning, scheduling, inventory, PM planning, and finished goods, thereby monitoring every facet of the manufacturing process.

Expressing enthusiasm about the partnership, Craig Zehrung, principal laboratory operations specialist at IE, highlighted ProShop's ERP software as a seamless fit for their operational needs, providing comprehensive tracking and management capabilities crucial for their endeavors. Zehrung emphasized the school's commitment to maximizing the software's functionalities to achieve a fully automated manufacturing environment. The initiative aims to evolve the facility into an autonomous operation, leveraging advanced AI and computer control systems. Zehrung also underscored the practical learning opportunities this initiative presents for students, bridging academic knowledge with hands-on experience.
