Google for Startups Unveils AI...Google for Startups Launches AI Academy to Propel AI Innovation in APAC, with a Focus on Malaysia
With the aim of advancing AI innovation across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with a special focus on Malaysia, Google for Startups has launched the AI Academy. The application for the program is open until August 16, 2024, and is expected to select more than 20 AI startups to participate in this transformative initiative.
The AI Academy reaffirms to revitalize the APAC AI landscape by encouraging global collaborations. The initiative is designed to drive the growth of AI technologies by providing startups with bespoke mentorship from Google’s exclusive AI experts and offering up to US$350,000 (RM1.5 million) in Google Cloud credits. This financial aid is expected to promote the growth and experimentation of AI solutions. Apart from financial and technical support, the program highlights community building, enhancing connections and partnerships among participating startups across the region. Startups will benefit from a well-defined framework to build proof of concepts and product lifecycles by utilizing Google Cloud tools to improve and incorporate their AI innovations promptly.
By accelerating startups' paths to market, the AI Academy aims to establish APAC as a prominent hub for AI advancements, ultimately showcasing the region's potential on the global stage. Applications for this unique opportunity are now open, with a deadline approaching in mid-August.
