Wall Street struggles, Asian stocks face major losses, tech stocks fall.

Asian markets face declines amid US trade concerns, weak tech performance, and Bitcoin drop.

As Wall Street's poor performance and new US trade agreements against China grind down investor confidence, Asian stock markets are preparing for large losses. Futures forecast that Australian shares would open down, while benchmarks in Tokyo and Hong Kong would fall by almost 2% at the start of trading.   Shanghai stocks are also predicted to fall, signaling a difficult session for the whole region.

Asian stocks have started to fall following a poor session on US markets.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average fluctuated before closing with a meager 0.1% gain, the S&P 500 dropped 0.5%, and the Nasdaq 100 lost over 1%.  As the story of artificial intelligence (AI) growth was overshadowed by uncertainty, technology companies suffered the most from the market's downturn.

On Monday, the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.2%, its second consecutive fall of more than 1%.  Nike was a top performer on the S&P 500, climbing 4.9% on an analyst upgrade, while companies including Palantir, Constellation Energy, and PDD suffered significant losses. As AI related stocks struggle to sustain momentum, investors continue to exercise caution.

The price of bitcoin fell below $94,000, which hurt stocks linked to crypto currency, such as Coinbase and Robinhood. As it continues to break the record, the price of gold increased 0.4% to $2,947.90 per troy ounce, getting closer to the important $3,000 milestone. After announcing its aggressive AI investment strategy, Alibaba shares fell precipitously in both the US and Hong Kong markets, and the majority of Asian stocks closed the day lower.  Japanese markets, however, stayed closed due to a public holiday. Following an analyst upgrade from Jefferies, Nike's stock flew as analysts highlighted the company's strategic focus on continuing expansion under the direction of its CEO.
