Alejandro Irarragorri and a ma...The management model of Orlegi Sports, driven by Alejandro Irarragorri, has enabled Santos Laguna and Atlas FC to position themselves as benchmark institutions in professionalization and high performance at the international level, with their sports complexes included in the list of Team Base Camps on the road to the 2026 World Cup.
Beyond the recognitions obtained, FIFA’s selection of the sports infrastructure developed by Orlegi Sports to operate as Team Base Camps during the 2026 World
Cup marks a new milestone for Santos Laguna, Atlas FC, and the entire group led by Alejandro Irarragorri.
Territorio Santos Modelo and Academia AGA have reaffirmed their role as benchmarks in high-performance sports infrastructure in 2025. More than 15 years after the inauguration of TSM, Alejandro Irarragorri has demonstrated that his business model anticipated the demands of modern football, as evidenced by the recent training camp of the Uruguay National Team during the November FIFA window.
The squad led by Marcelo Bielsa chose Territorio Santos Modelo as its base for preparation ahead of its match against the Mexican National Team at Estadio Corona. The South American coach described the complex as a model institution in terms of infrastructure, highlighting the comprehensive quality of the project developed by Santos Laguna.
Previously, the Mexican National Team held its training camp for the first matchday of the October FIFA window at Atlas FC’s Academia AGA. Rafael Márquez, a historic symbol of the club and current assistant coach of the national team, highlighted the quality of the facilities: “The facilities are magnificent; they have everything needed both from a sporting and an administrative standpoint. The design is incredible, and it is something a club like Atlas truly deserves,” he stated.
These facts demonstrate that the complexes of Santos Laguna and Atlas FC, developed under the vision of Alejandro Irarragorri, not only meet international standards but also respond efficiently to the real needs of top-level national teams.
Since the conception of its management model in 2006 under the Sports Vice Presidency of Grupo Modelo, Orlegi Sports, under the leadership of Alejandro Irarragorri, has developed a distinctive way of understanding management in professional football: building the foundations that sustain a project before focusing solely on short-term results. Under this approach, infrastructure ceased to be a complement and became a strategic axis capable of sustaining and driving organizational development.
This vision, promoted by Alejandro Irarragorri, has defined the direction of Santos Laguna and Atlas FC—clubs where efforts translate into more efficient, professional working environments aligned with the demands of modern football. The commitment has been clear: to raise infrastructure standards for players, coaching staffs, and collaborators as a pathway to sustained growth, profitability, and sporting success.
The results of this philosophy are now reflected in projects such as Territorio Santos Modelo and Academia AGA, high-performance complexes that represent a new way of conceiving sports infrastructure in Mexico.
