Costco Issues Urgent Recall Warnings over Glass, Allergens and Spa Hazards
The Silicon Review
10 March, 2026

Costco issued urgent recall notices affecting frozen ramen bowls with possible glass contamination, beignets with undeclared tree nuts, and hot tub jets posing drowning hazards.

Costco has released a fresh wave of urgent recall notices affecting a wide range of products, from frozen meals to high-end home spas, warning customers of potential glass contamination, undeclared allergens, and drowning hazards.

Among the most serious recalls are Ajinomoto Shoyu Ramen Bowls (item #1081557), which may contain pieces of glass. The recall applies to products with best-by dates between May 20, 2026, and July 5, 2027. Members are advised not to consume the product and to return it for a full refund.

Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice (item #749182) is also being recalled over potential glass contamination. Purchases between December 3, 2024, and February 20, 2026, with best-by dates from November 8, 2025, through January 12, 2027, are affected.

Costco recalled its mini beignets filled with caramel after discovering they were inadvertently packaged with chocolate hazelnut-filled versions, posing a severe allergy risk for those sensitive to tree nuts. The products were distributed across 22 states between January 16 and January 30, 2026.

In Canada, Delici Dubai Style chocolate mousse was recalled due to undeclared cashew and macadamia nuts. The products were sold between January and February 2026. A public health alert was also issued for Punahele Jerky Company beef jerky containing undeclared soy lecithin.

Additionally, Costco notified members of a voluntary recall involving hydromassage rotary jets in Hot Spring Spa's Highlife Collection hot tubs. The jets can create suction forces that could catch hair, posing entanglement and drowning hazards. The recall affects models purchased between October 2022 and October 2025. Owners are urged to stop using the jets immediately and request free replacement inserts.

Costco has sent letters to affected members advising them to stop using recalled products immediately and follow the recommended remedy, which may include repairs, replacement parts, or returning items for a full refund.
