Full Scale Named Among Southeast Asia's Best Workplaces in Technology for 2026

Full Scale, a software staffing company that builds engineering teams for U.S. businesses out of the Philippines, has landed a spot on Great Place To Work's 2026 Best Workplaces in Technology list for Southeast Asia. The company ranked No. 15 in the medium-size category, which covers organizations with 100 to 999 employees across the region.

The list is not a popularity contest or a paid award. Great Place To Work builds it from a confidential Trust Index survey covering leadership, fairness, respect, pride, and trust at work. This year's regional ranking drew more than 58,200 survey responses, representing over 219,200 employees at technology companies across Southeast Asia. Employers cannot lobby for a spot. Only the top 20 companies in each size category make the list, based entirely on what employees said about their own workplace.

What the Numbers Show

Full Scale's internal results stand out against the regional baseline. Ninety-five percent of its employees said the company is a great place to work, compared with a typical 65 percent for companies in the Philippines. Employee opinions on pay, management, and career growth usually vary quite a bit inside a single company, so a result that far above the regional average points to something structural in how the company operates, not a lucky survey.

This is not a one-time result. Full Scale has now held Great Place To Work Certification in the Philippines for two consecutive years, and the 2026 Southeast Asia list marks its first regional ranking. Repeating a strong survey result across different employee groups and different years is harder to fake than a single good year, which is part of why regional rankings like this one carry weight with clients vetting an outsourcing partner.

A Remote-First Culture Built Around Retention

Full Scale is a remote-first company. Its stated approach leans on training, manager development, and clear communication rather than requiring employees to work from a physical office. That focus has paid off in a metric that matters as much to clients as to employees: developer retention above 93 percent, well ahead of typical turnover in outsourced software staffing, where it is common for client-facing developers to change every few months.

For the U.S. companies that hire Full Scale's teams, that retention rate is the practical payoff of the workplace ranking. A developer who stays on a project for years, rather than months, keeps the institutional knowledge that makes an engineering team productive: the reasons behind old decisions, the quirks of a client's codebase, the context that a brand-new hire has to relearn from scratch. High turnover is one of the most common complaints leveled at offshore staffing arrangements, and Full Scale's retention numbers suggest its workplace investment is a business strategy, not just an HR talking point.

Where the Company Stands Now

Full Scale's appearance on the 2026 list comes during a stretch of broader recognition for the company. It has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for four consecutive years, and it now employs more than 350 engineers working across development, QA, and DevOps roles for its U.S. clients. Company leadership has pointed to the Great Place To Work result as validation that comes directly from employees rather than from a marketing effort, since individual survey responses stay confidential and are never shared with company management.

About Full Scale

Founded in 2018 and based in Kansas, Full Scale connects U.S. companies with software developers, QA engineers, and other technical talent in the Philippines. Matt Watson, a technology entrepreneur who previously co-founded VinSolutions and founded Stackify, is Full Scale's CEO.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Great Place To Work Best Workplaces in Technology list?

It is an annual regional ranking built from confidential employee survey data collected by Great Place To Work, a global workplace culture research firm. Companies cannot apply their way onto the list; a minimum share of employees at a company must respond to the survey, and rankings are based on those anonymous answers.

How is Full Scale different from a typical offshore staffing firm?

Full Scale hires its engineers directly as full-time employees rather than working through subcontracted labor, and it reports developer retention above 93 percent, a figure it credits to its remote-first culture and internal training programs.
