With edge artificial intelligence (AI) internet of things (IoT) devices are becoming smarter. Edge devices now have machine learning capabilities. This empowers them to process complex data locally, administer solutions and make predictions. Intelligence edge computing compliments efforts to provide real-time insight into business operations. With this computing, businesses can anticipate future demand, deliver service innovation, and define operational efficiencies. Edge computing supports security data audits while providing data analytics in real-time.
FogHorn is one such leading developer of edge intelligence software for industrial commercial IoT applications. FogHorn’s software platform brings the power of machine learning and advanced analytics to the on-premise edge environment enabling a new class of applications for advanced monitoring and diagnostics, asset performance optimization, operational intelligence and predictive maintenance use cases. Its solutions are ideally suited for OEMs, systems integrators and end customers in vertical markets such as manufacturing, power and water, oil and gas, mining, transportation, healthcare, retail, as well as Smart Grid, Smart City and Smart Car applications.
State-of-the-Art Real-Time Edge Software Products Offered
Lightning™ Edge AI Solutions: FogHorn Lightning™ Edge AI Solutions are packages of FogHorn’s award-winning Lightning Edge AI platform, preconfigured with use-case specific machine learning models, notification capabilities and visualization dashboards. Edge AI Solutions allow organizations to rapidly deploy edge AI and immediately derive insights to common problems. Use them individually or combine solutions to create a tailored system over time. Lightning Solutions are also extensible in enterprise editions with unlimited opportunities to customize with additional data science or integrate with your existing IT systems, video management software, access control systems and more.
Lightning™ Edge AI Platform: FogHorn’s Lightning™ Edge AI platform brings a groundbreaking dimension to IIoT and edge computing by embedding AI as close to the source of streaming sensor data as possible. The Edge AI software platform is a highly compact, advanced and feature-rich edge solution that delivers unprecedented low latency for onsite data processing, real-time analytics, ML, and AI capabilities. It delivers the industry’s lowest total cost for computing requirements, communications services, and cloud processing and storage. Lightning™ platform uniquely combines a highly miniaturized complex event processing (CEP) analytics engine and ML capability in a single software instance. This approach offers rapid data ingestion and enrichment, sensor fusion, and ML to generate actionable insights in real-time.
Lightning™ Edge AI Mobile: FogHorn Lightning™ Mobile empowers operational technology (OT) and field professionals with real-time analytics, machine learning (ML) and Edge AI on mobile, battery-powered devices, without having to rely on connectivity to the cloud, speeding decision making and industrial workflow. This approach enables a new class of Edge AI applications not possible with devices restricted to fixed locations, while making it easy to build and market off-the-shelf common solutions using the Lightning Edge AI Platform. Additionally, support for edge AI-based deep learning model inferencing solves critical issues such as image recognition of bar codes and health and battery monitoring of high-volume deployments of mobile devices.
Edgification™: This technology allows machine learning (ML) models to be edgified (optimizing models for hyper-efficient edge execution), reducing model size by up to 80 percent. This moves ML and AI as close to the data source as possible, utilizing all of the available raw data, and enables faster and more efficient operation with better insights. Processing the majority of industrial sensor data at the edge radically reduces data transport and storage costs. FogHorn’s subscription pricing further boosts savings. Additionally, less networking and security resources are needed. This approach is especially powerful in data intensive use cases, and ideal to handle the growing use of video sensors.
