“From green card to citizenship process, our attorneys and professionals guide you through the often confusing and changing immigration law and policies.”

As anyone who has gone through the process will tell you, navigating any area of immigration law is not an endeavor you’d want to go through alone. There is an extensive paperwork to navigate a confusing and arduous process involving several government agencies. No matter what you’re trying to achieve, a skilled immigration law firm can guide you through this complicated process to achieve approvals and ease your mind.

WA Law Group, LLC is one such boutique immigration law firm located in Rockville, Maryland, focusing on investment and employment immigration. WA LAW GROUP understands the growing compliance and workplace issues that Human Resource professionals try to navigate and provide exceptional law solutions. WA LAW Group’s primary practice areas are EB-5 investment, Labor Certification (PERM), and Temporary Work Visas, including H1B, L-1, E-2, O-1 etc.

Jinhee Wilde, CEO and Founder of WA Law Group, LLC, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review on how her firm offers comprehensive immigration law services with an emphasis on investment and employment-based immigration.

Interview Highlights

Q. How is the industry you serve currently evolving? And where does WA Law Group, LLC stand at the moment?

The Immigration law changes all the time based on different administration policies, from pro-immigration to anti-immigration. These changes affect the already long, and the multiple-step process of immigration, which adds to uncertainty and anxiety on the part of the immigrants. Thus, our office policy to take the time to answer all our client’s questions and concerns within 24 hours, update them with any news on their cases, and prepare and file their claims timely without delay, all are designed to reduce their fear and anxiety about their uncertain immigration status.

Q. Given WA Law Group has experienced and award-winning immigration attorneys, how uniquely does the firm serve its clients’ needs?

The most important difference between our office and others is the access to the top attorneys of the firm by our clients. I personally answer our clients’ emails and calls within 24 hours, often well beyond midnight. I understand that at other law firms, the clients often only communicate with paralegals and assistants. We are committed to providing professional, experienced, ethical, and results-oriented immigration law solutions while being kind and empathetic to our clients.

Q. What are the various immigration law solutions WA Law Group offers?

Our firm focuses on business and investment immigration – work visas and employment-based immigration, such as H1B, L-1, O-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5 are more than 95 percent of our caseload. We help our existing clients with their family-based immigration work because we like helping our client’s families, but that is not where we spend most of our time and efforts. We focus on employment-based immigration because we like the “win-win” process of providing U.S. businesses with legal immigrants that could help their business and our country’s economy.

Q. Can you provide us with one or two success stories describing the challenges your clients faced and how your solutions helped them overcome those challenges?

EB-5 work is very specialized immigration work that requires an understanding of the immigration work as well as finance work because the immigrant petition requires us to track the source of funds of the investment as well as  dollar for dollar tracking of the funds’ movement to make sure that funds being invested in the EB-5 projects are not from illegal/money laundering source. EB-5 also requires that the investment funds be utilized in the projects to create new jobs in the U.S., which require us to understand the business plans and economic forecasting of a project. Many immigration lawyers mistakenly think that EB-5 cases are like H1B or some other simpler work visas. In one case, I had allowed a lawyer to review my work to learn from me on how to do an EB-5 case. After just reviewing our work product on that case, that lawyer decided to take that client’s daughter’s case to do it on her own. This was like being a passenger in a car for one drive and then attempting to drive a Ferrari by herself. Obviously, the case was not done correctly, and the case was issued a Notice of Intent to Deny before I was able to rescue it and get the approval. That client recently received her Naturalization to become a citizen and told me how grateful they were and that I changed their lives.

Q. About the future, where do you see WA Law Group a couple of years from now?

I see our firm growing as we look to add more staff to support our continuously growing number of clients.

Q. Is there anything else you want us to highlight that we might have missed?

The immigration law field is not a practice area that could be done by a general practitioner dabbling in filling out forms – it requires focus and dedication to the craft by staying abreast of the ever-changing laws and policies. The utmost importance to our firm is to continue serving our clients with the same exceptional customer service as we grow – we will never become too big to provide our clients with the personal, individual care.
