Popular search giant Google is relatively testing a new feature for the Android version of its Chrome web browser. Dubbed 'Copyless Paste', available under Chrome's flags subsection (chrome://flags) the feature is also obtainable in the browser's version 59 and later, as reported by XDA Developers website.
Going by its name, the 'Copyless Paste' feature copies helpful information automatically (for instance, the address if a restaurant) and also proposes it for pasting in apps where that information will be pertinent.
"If you looked at a restaurant website and switched to the Maps app, the keyboard would offer the name of that restaurant as a suggestion to enter into the search bar," reads the description of the feature.
Further, it also had been mentioned that right now the feature is not completely functional right now. According to VentureBeat website Google has been working on 'Copyless Paste' since February this year. It's also been assumed that it may be officially included in Chrome's version 60 since the functionality is in testing stage.
Scheduled for May 17-19 this year, Google could proclaim the feature at its I/O developer conference. There were also reports previously mentioning that Android O could come with revitalized notifications. However, the particulars are still unidentified, but it's supposed that the new style of notifications will be linked with the user's Google account.
Further, it is been also cited that the app icon symbol will appear for every notification. This looks quite alike to what we have seen with iOS and some Android UI layers. For example, if a user receives two WhatsApp messages, the number '2' will appear on the top corner of the app icon.
Well that not all, another feature that is rumored is the picture-in-picture (PIP) mode, available on Android TV. The feature will let users to be able to browse the menu and browse little other content in the background, while watching a movie or any other video in a small box inside the screen itself.
