The Silicon Review
11 September, 2019

Tile, an American consumer electronics company, has partnered with Google to integrate its lost item finding technology with Google Assistant. It will now let users find their misplaced or lost item using Android devices and others.

Tile is a small accessory that can be attached wallets, bags, purses, and more. The company has used its direct ring technology for the new integration. It will help to connect the tech directly to find the lost item.

An alarm can be triggered in the tile attached to the misplaced item to find it, with a simple voice command.

According to Tile, the integration will be available to the users later this year and its mechanism will be alike to using any other smart home Action through the Assistant.

The integration is a positive new for Tile customers. Google will join the user’s personal search part in case they lose or misplace items such as a remote, wallet or anything else with a simple voice command.

In the past few years, the company has been working hard towards its technology and now it is one of the top-notched manufacturers of Bluetooth-powered-lost-item trackers in the world. Last year, it has sold 22 million units. By looking at the user base, the company is at the top because 5 million items are located every year suing the platform across more than 200 nations.
