IBM recently launched Sterling Supply Chain Suite to reduce its clients’ supply chain complexities. The suite is open for developers and wants the organizations to make their supply chain more efficient and smarter, which in turn will help them to make better decisions to adjust to opportunities and disruptions. The new integrated suite is embedded with IBM Blockchain and Watson AI. IBM Sterling Supply Chain was built on the foundation of Sterling Order Management and Sterling B2B network to enable businesses, retailers, and manufacturers to integrate their business networks, critical data, and supply chain processes. The new supply chain is designed to learn from creating greater liability, experience, security, and transparency to provide a unique competitive edge.
By launching this suite, IBM is delivering an open platform that is secured with hybrid cloud support that will enable the firms to integrate their networks and data of suppliers and consumers with the new suite. The newfound flexibility will allow enterprises to update their supply-chain solutions frequently so that they can meet their business needs. There are significant challenges in the supply chain due to its omni-channel operations; if the right solution is deployed, then the challenge can be converted into an opportunity.
