Alphabet-owned robotics subsidiary Intrinsic successfully completes the acquisition of Vicarious, a US-based Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) company.

Alphabet-owned robotics subsidiary Intrinsic has completed the acquisition of Vicarious, a US-based Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) company. The robotic intelligence firm Vicarious has raised $250 million from business tycoons like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg and companies like Samsung.

Vicarious describes itself as a turnkey robotic intelligence and solutions integrator. The company uses AI and other latest technologies to automate complex tasks to a versatile form. Vicarious, for over a decade, has been pushing the boundaries of AI and intelligent robotics across various industries to build an interdisciplinary team and cutting-edge culture.

Intrinsic CEO Wendy Tan White stated that he and his team at Intrinsic are thrilled and joyed to welcome Scott Phoenix, CEO of Vicarious, to their team. "We are thrilled to welcome Scott Phoenix, Vicarious CEO, and an expert team of Vicarious engineers, roboticists, and business professionals to the Intrinsic team," said White.
