Currently, the arrow icon feature is being rolled out in the US.

Google's search experience powered by generative AI, Search Generative Experience (SGE), has been expanded outside of the US to India and Japan. As well as offering conversational search, users can also pose interface questions and receive answers in video and images. New locality-specific features have also been added to SGE: voice input will be introduced in India and Japan, and generative AI will be available in those countries' native languages. As before, search ads will remain in place. Google says the highest satisfaction rates with the generative AI were among those ages 18 to 24, who tended to ask questions in a more conversational manner.

The company additionally released data showing users were asking more follow-up questions and more conversational questions in full sentences.A new feature of SGE, an arrow icon to the side of answers, enables users to access the web pages that provide the information directly. Currently, the arrow icon feature is being rolled out in the US. It will arrive in India and Japan over the coming few weeks. The company has not provided data on the click-through rates of its integrated ads. To access SGE, it can be found in the Search Labs section of the Google app on Android and iOS, as well as in Chrome on the desktop.
