Netflix has rolled out testing...You may now access Netflix's game library via a smart TV or other connected device
Mike Verdu, vice president of gaming at Netflix, confirmed the company's entry into the cloud gaming space at a conference in 2022. Netflix declared at the same time that it will even build a gaming studio in California. Netflix hasn't been deterred by the little success that companies like Google and Amazon have had in the cloud gaming sector thus far. The business is currently expanding its cloud gaming service trial into the US, having first started one in the UK and Canada.
You may now access Netflix's game library via a smart TV or other connected device thanks to the company's latest trial, which is now available to US subscribers for free. You may use your phone as a controller to launch a game and begin playing it with a Roku or Chromecast. Netflix sets itself apart from some of its rivals with its free-to-play business strategy. The streaming service had previously launched games based on popular shows like "Love is Blind" and "Stranger Things," to mention a few. Although it may seem strange, Netflix's new game streaming initiative isn't wholly unexpected. Many were alerted to the streaming behemoth's keenness for gaming by employment ads it posted back in 2022.
