On Tuesday, L&T Technology Services said that it is utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI) to assist international automakers in their shift to software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). According to a statement, LTTS uses the cloud platform AWS to support vehicle manufacturers in accelerating the creation of next-generation SDVs with specialized safety and security solutions for digital cockpits, connected services, and autonomous driving. According to the announcement, LTTS has expedited the time to market new goods by 25% by using virtual work benches on AWS to create and test new software for vehicle electronic control units (ECUs), which regulate an automobile's operation.

SDVs use computer systems and sensors to make driving safer and more effective, but they mostly rely on software to regulate and manage every aspect of their operations, including performance and comfort. With software upgrades available over-the-air (OTA) via the cloud, these digitally-enabled cars can contribute significantly to advancements in safety, security, entertainment, and convenience, giving customers continuing value from their vehicle even after they've made a purchase.
