Copilot debut

Microsoft's commitment to rebranding the service is demonstrated by the release of the Copilot mobile apps.

With its simple UI and ability to provide prompts for questions, summarize material, draft emails, blogs, and papers, the Copilot mobile app functions similarly to OpenAI's ChatGPT mobile version. Using its DALL-E 3 image maker technology, users can additionally produce images. The app also gives users access to GPT-4, one of OpenAI's most recent LLMs; however, users must pay ChatGPT to gain access to GPT-4; GPT-3.5 is still used by the free ChatGPT service. Users can get the iOS version via the Apple App Store and the Android version from the Google Play Store.

Microsoft's commitment to rebranding the service is demonstrated by the release of the Copilot mobile apps. Copilot for Windows (and now mobile) is essentially a reimagined version of the AI-powered Bing Chat, which used a ChatGPT-echoing user interface but was naturally integrated within the Bing search engine, which debuted at the beginning of the year. But in November, Bing Chat and its sibling product Bing Chat Enterprise, which targets businesses, were merged under the Copilot brand. The F3 license now includes Copilot, which was added last month at no additional cost. Furthermore, the software offers business data protection, enabling frontline staff to request things with intelligence. Examples include searching for inventory or condensing lengthy internal documents without fear of disclosing private company information.
