The first ever US-India cyber security initiative has been launched

In collaboration with the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture (MCCIA), the US Consulate unveiled the inaugural US-India Cyber Security Initiative to bolster IT connections between the two nations. US Consul General Mike Hankey, speaking at the MCCIA Pune Business International Business Summit, stated that the project aims to bring together top global cyber security specialists to provide employment possibilities and develop creative approaches. Hankey highlighted the initiative's goal of establishing a mentorship model in cyberspace within the city and fostering interpersonal relationships in the realm of cybersecurity. He emphasized the timeliness of the launch, citing the rapid advancement of digital technologies surpassing any previous era in human history.

Underscoring the significance of secure cyberspace for both public and private sector development, Hankey stressed the need for minimizing cybersecurity threats to ensure the global prosperity and stability facilitated by the unrestricted flow of online information. He reiterated that cyber issues are a priority in the US-India bilateral relationship, with a focus on leveraging the digital revolution for mutual benefit. The Cybersecurity Initiative signifies the close partnership between the United States and India, presenting economic and social advantages globally.
