Kuehne+Nagel established fashion hub in Northeast United States

New centre located in Piscataway, New Jersey, less than two miles from existing fulfilment centre for luxury retailer

Kuehne+Nagel has revealed specifics about a fresh contract logistics fulfillment center in Piscataway, New Jersey. Positioned about two miles from its current site for a luxury retail brand, the 100,000-square-foot fulfillment center functions as a focal point for fashion, underscoring the company's enduring dedication to serving clients in the fashion and luxury sectors. The facility, tailored to accommodate a new fashion client, boasts an additional 55,000 sq. ft. of available space. Strategically situated near John F. Kennedy International Airport and Port Elizabeth, and within one of the United States' prime consumer fashion markets, the site maximizes accessibility. Leveraging automation and robotics for picking and putaway tasks, the center enhances operational efficiency. It is also equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and energy-efficient LED lighting.

Eduardo Razuck, Senior Vice President of Contract Logistics, Americas, at Kuehne+Nagel, expressed pride in the new site, highlighting its significance as a pivotal achievement for the company's North American contract logistics arm. This development aligns with Kuehne+Nagel's Roadmap 2026 objectives, aimed at advancing e-commerce solutions. The investment in the Piscataway distribution center underscores Kuehne+Nagel's support for luxury and fashion clients, enabling them to prioritize brand consolidation in the U.S. market and enhance customer support. Scheduled to commence operations in late April 2024, the facility is expected to generate around 50 new job opportunities for the region.
