UL Solutions opened a new retail center of excellence in Arkansas

UL Solutions, a renowned global leader headquartered in Illinois, specializing in safety testing, inspection, and certification, has recently unveiled its latest venture: the inauguration of a new Retail Center of Excellence in Lowell. This strategic move marks the company's significant investment in the retail and consumer products sectors, aimed at assisting clients in enhancing product safety, quality, performance, and stability. It boasts a range of amenities, including a dedicated customer product testing laboratory, a technical support center, and the pioneering Product Experience Center. The latter serves as a platform for studying consumer insights pre-production, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the industry. The facility is meticulously designed to offer comprehensive testing and technical support services for private-label products, empowering retailers to streamline product life cycles and enhance various aspects, including performance, sustainability, and safety—crucial in today's dynamic economic landscape.

The new establishment supersedes an existing hardline laboratory in Rogers, augmenting local laboratory and technical support capacities while serving as the hub for UL's global network of laboratories for retail and consumer products. The initiative has garnered praise from U.S. Representative Steve Womack, who hailed UL Solutions' investment in Arkansas' Third District, acknowledging its role in fostering economic growth and expanding opportunities in the region. He commended Lowell's newfound status as the home of this cutting-edge facility, attributing it to the region's robust business environment and skilled workforce.
