Lenovo Plans to Launch New Leg...A Reddit user uncovered details of the new device when Lenovo accidentally published them on its product page
Lenovo is reportedly planning to release a new version of its Legion Go portable gaming device. According to a report by VideoCardz, the upcoming console will feature a smaller display than the 8.8-inch model released in India in June. A Reddit user uncovered details of the new device when Lenovo accidentally published them on its product page. The page suggested that the new version will include a "7-inch or 8-inch display," an HDMI port, and dual fans—features absent in the original Legion Go.
Windows Central further reports that this new model may be named the Lenovo Legion S. However, previous speculation suggested it could retain the Legion Go branding despite its smaller screen size. This development points to a potential refresh of the Legion Go lineup, offering more variety for gamers seeking different configurations. It has an 8.8-inch display with a maximum brightness of 500 nits and it is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with AMD RDNA GPU. The device runs Windows 11 and includes up to 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, along with a micro-SD slot for expandable storage up to 2TB. Its 49.2Wh battery supports fast charging, making it a versatile option for gaming on the go.
As anticipation builds, Lenovo's upcoming variant promises to deliver enhanced features tailored to different user preferences in the competitive handheld gaming market.
