With eight times more revenues and six times more orders for brands, Shopee Malaysia's 10.10 Brands Fest achieved an important milestone. Shopee Affiliates and livestreamers, who created around one million videos—34 times more than on a typical day—were an important factor in to this rise.
Shopee's "Lowest Price Guaranteed" deals, special promotions, and improved visibility through Shopee Live and Shopee Video contributed to a 36x spike in sales and a 13x rise in orders for first-time participating brands. The event saw a tripling of livestreaming activity compared to a usual day, with Shopee Live emerging as a major driver of engagement. The platform is becoming increasingly important for retailers, who use livestreams to communicate with customers in real time, according to Tan Ming Kit, Head of Marketing and Business Intelligence at Shopee Malaysia. As a result of increased customer interaction, almost 25 million Shopee Live vouchers and 21 million Shopee Coins were claimed during the campaign.
Women's clothes, cosmetics, home essentials, and groceries were among the festival's top product categories. Search phrases that were frequently used included power banks, sandals, and mobile accessories; top-selling items included beauty products, home improvement tools, and health supplements. With its 10.10 event, Shopee Malaysia is highlighting the increasing contribution of livestreaming, influencer marketing, and e-commerce to the growth of sales in a variety of product categories.
