NEEPCO Appoints Samiran Sinha Ray as New Chief Human Resources Officer

With 35 years of HR expertise, Ray will drive NEEPCO's HR growth.

In order to fortify the leadership, NEEPCO has appointed Shri Samiran Sinha Ray to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. This announcement was made on December 1, 2025, and reflects the commitment of the company towards strengthening its HR leadership in line with its future growth and development plans. Samiran Sinha Ray, an HR professional with close to 35 years of experience, has joined NEEPCO from NTPC Limited, one of India's largest power sector companies. Shri Ray joined NTPC in 1990 and brings rich experience in different regions in various key leadership positions that would enable him to lead the HR functions in NEEPCO.

As the Regional Head of HR at NTPC's NRHQ, Lucknow, Shri Ray was leading a major portfolio comprising eight projects, two joint ventures, and a solar power project. He also carried the additional charge as Regional Head of HR for NTPC's Eastern Region-II at Bhubaneswar, with five major projects under his purview. He actively contributed through his leadership and strategic inputs in further strengthening the HR systems and improving employee engagement in NTPC.

Shri Ray has rich experience in managing the HR functions at NTPC Farakka and NTPC Barh and other project locations. His experience in joint ventures of NTPC, namely NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited and Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited, has also added to his acumen in human resource management and organizational development. It is expected that with such vast exposure in the realm of HR leadership at NEEPCO, Shri Ray will drive the human resource functions of the company to new heights and keep NEEPCO on track to achieve its long-term objectives. With a deep understanding of institutional dynamics and an enviable track record, he is bound to play an important role in the growth of the company.
