The company was founded in 1998. Today abat, with more than 600 employees worldwide, generates a turnover of more than 56 million Euros per year.

The Founding Members

Gyde Wortmann, Co-founder, and board: In addition to customer projects, Gyde Wortmann is responsible for finance for the company. The computer scientist worked in various management positions at VW gedas GmbH until the founding of the company. She managed various international SAP projects with a focus on accounting. Among other things, she was responsible for the development and rollout of the "Standardization of the Accounting of Subsidiaries of Volkswagen AG" (START). Prior to that, she worked as a Business Analyst at LSI Logic Products GmbH until 1992.

Ronald Wermann, Co-founder, and board: Ronald Wermann is responsible for the development of the business division logistics as well as for sales and marketing of abat. The data processing salesman worked until the company foundation as area and sales manager for SAP at the VW GEDAS GmbH. Previously, he worked as Regional Software Manager and in various other management positions at Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme and Nixdorf Computer AG and as head of a Hamburg software house. 

Holger Pralle, Co-founder, and board: Holger Pralle is responsible for major customers in the automotive sector and for the development of abat's Minsk site in Belarus. The graduate engineer for electrical engineering and the graduate industrial engineer was responsible for various management functions at VW GEDAS GmbH until the company was founded. There he was responsible for numerous international SAP projects. Previously, he worked in various positions at LSI Logic Products GmbH.
