Most drivers are familiar with the headache of parking: spending what feels like hours circling the streets looking for a space, wasting time and money in the process.

In light of the above-mentioned scenario, we are thrilled to present Hasty Parking Inc. It connects drivers with open parking spaces. With its innovative Mobile App, guests can find convenient parking or hosts can list their unused space(s) and start earning extra cash.

The company was incorporated in 2017 and is headquartered in Boston Massachusetts.

Hope Beckman, Hasty Parking Inc. Founder/ CEO, spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.

Why was the company set up? And how did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?

Frustrated with the rates at parking garages and the lack of available metered-parking, we saw an opportunity to create a user-friendly platform for maximizing private parking assets. This idea evolved into a mobile app that opened-up the market to individuals with an eye toward disrupting the parking industry.

Hasty Parking Inc. was set up nearly two years ago. And this year, in late September, we launched parking apps on both Google Play and the App Store.

Further, we sought to simplify the process by adding a patented space-marker (like a house number for each parking space) along with a text function that sends confirmation messages prior to the start and expiration of each booking.

How successful was your first project roll on? Share the experience.

Very difficult! Our first App: We had to rely on help from my husband (who has a tech background) and close friends to begin the testing process. Slowly, we started hiring part-time staff to assist with the process - which took a total of six months to complete.

If you have to list five factors that have been/are the biggest asset to your organization, what would they be and why?

Hiring smart, dedicated people.

Demographics of where we’re located – lots of tech talent located in and around Boston.

Launch city (Boston) happens to have the third most competitive parking market in the US, in terms of demand.

Good partners to work with from our new development team to investors to manufacturing partners.

Growth of technology makes all of our collective App functions – possible.

As a question of adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this highly volatile market?

Staying in touch with our customers is an integral part of knowing who they are and what they want. Hasty Parking is available via email, phone and text, round-the-clock. We’re very focused on our customers and want them to know that if there’s a problem, question or issue – we want to hear from them.

How does your company contribute to the global IT platform?

We’re not global yet but are driven to disrupt the parking market one space at a time! Our team of talented and dedicated employees works tirelessly to create the best experience for our customers.

We are entrepreneurs, visionaries, and go-getters – committed to redefining the private parking space.

Do you have any new products ready to be launched?

We’re already working on a Version 2.0 of our app which will further simplify the Listing and Rental process for our users.

As a question on sustainability, where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

With demand for parking on the rise, we anticipate the need for more creative parking solutions.  Our Hasty Parking App will allow virtually anyone with available parking assets, to host Guests at their convenience.  Given the enormous and growing demand for sharing and access-economy services, we’re optimistic about the future of Hasty Parking  and the potential for growing our user-base as this trend intensifies.
