In conversation with Shelly Castle, CEO of Impeccable Rideshare LLC

Q. As a female founder and operator in the transportation and luxury services industry, how do you define your leadership style?

I’d describe my leadership style as “impeccable,” just like my brand. I expect and encourage everyone who works for me to deliver the same high standard of service that I would provide. At the same time, I’m incredibly appreciative of my team. I value the people who work with me and try to show it in meaningful ways. In the future, I want to host employee appreciation events, like Christmas parties, to celebrate and thank them. I focus on listening and going the extra mile for my team rather than micromanaging. I want to create an environment where employees feel valued and motivated, unlike places where workers feel unappreciated and burned out.

Q. Your slogan mentions providing an impeccable limo ride experience at impeccable prices. How do you maintain this balance of quality and affordability?

The key to maintaining this balance is working with trusted partners who share my commitment to quality. I work with two partners who provide impeccable service and vehicles, making sure everything is maintained just as I would if I owned the vehicles myself. One of my partners is a mechanic, so he takes care of the vehicles, maintaining everything from the AC to the exterior. I haven’t received any negative reviews yet, and I’m praying it stays that way. I know there’s always the risk of a bad review, especially when people can post anything online. But I try to focus on what I can control and maintain high standards.

I also follow up with clients to ensure their experience was up to par. If there was an issue, like a driver being late due to unexpected circumstances (e.g., a bad accident or heavy traffic), I offer them a discount for their next booking. I try to avoid such situations by ensuring that my drivers leave extra early and don’t overbook their schedules. I believe in providing a personalized experience, unlike some companies that overbook to guarantee business. It’s not perfect, but I do my best.

Q. You emphasize creating a memorable experience rather than just providing a ride. What strategies do you use to ensure customer satisfaction and build loyalty?

It starts with providing exceptional service from the moment the client books their ride. I think what sets me apart is the personal touch—many clients tell me they’re happy to speak with a human when they call, as opposed to reaching a voicemail. I also ensure that my clients have the driver’s name and contact information before the event, so they can stay in touch with the driver directly. I send over the driver’s details the day before or the morning of the booking, ensuring there’s no confusion about who’s picking them up.

After the ride, I always follow up to check in on their experience. I ask, “Did everything go well? Was the ride great?” Most clients tell me they had an excellent experience, but if there’s any feedback, I make sure to address it. I appreciate when clients leave reviews, and I make it clear that their feedback is valued. I also try to follow up promptly, although sometimes it takes a little time because I’m busy working on the ground. But for me, following up is key to building loyalty and making sure my clients feel valued.

Q. How do you balance your role as a mother and a business owner, and what lessons do you hope to pass on to him?

When my son went off to college, it was a challenging time for me. I worked multiple jobs to provide for him, but that also meant sacrificing a lot of personal moments. I couldn’t always be there for his football games or school events, and that weighed heavily on me. As a mother, I always put him first, ensuring he had everything he needed, even though it meant I had to put my own needs aside. There were times when I wished I could change things, be more present in his life, but the reality is that I did the best I could with what I had at the time.

The lesson I hope to pass on to him is the value of hard work, sacrifice, and determination. Even when it feels like you’re giving up everything, if you’re doing it for the right reasons, it’s worth it. I want him to see the resilience and dedication that go into building something from the ground up.

Q. Can you tell us about your book “Spread the Word I’m Making It Happen”?

Writing my book was a deeply personal journey, and I’m proud to now call myself an Amazon 1x Best Selling author. It wasn’t easy—I went through a time when I felt completely broken and even questioned my purpose. But my story is one of perseverance and determination, and I hope it inspires others. My book, Spread the Word I’m Making It Happen, is an Amazon bestseller, and it’s a key part of my journey and my vision for the future. I encourage everyone to read it and share it—it’s not just my story; it’s a testament to what’s possible when you believe in yourself and keep pushing forward.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

Yes, there are definitely some exciting things ahead for both my company and my customers! One of my goals is to host an annual customer appreciation day, where I can invite customers to enjoy free lunch, drinks, music, and just come together to celebrate. I want to create a space for everyone to mingle, have fun, and experience the community that my business is built on.

As for growth, I see the company expanding, starting with Houston where I’ve already been manifesting the idea of opening my own storefront. I plan to franchise, continue growing, and eventually speak at major events, sharing my journey alongside speakers like Grant Cardone. I want to inspire people around the world, telling my story and how I manifested this success through determination, faith, and hard work. One day, I look forward to standing on those stages, sharing my journey and my book with others.
