“Although we have not narrowed down the industry, we expect to continue doing business centered on Microsoft services.”

FSCreation Co. Ltd. was founded to help customers benefit from utilizing feasibility study techniques. The company’s mission is to ensure that the results of the system implementation that it supports, with a “no regrets, no regrets” attitude, will lead to the creation of a brighter future for its customers.

Put simply, FSCreation is a company that helps other businesses secure their cloudification process through feasibility study techniques. It serves clients worldwide.

The company was founded in 2014.

The Silicon Review contacted Chieko Tsujimura, co-founder and Representative Director at FSCreation Co. Ltd., to gather her insights. Here’s what she had to say.

Interview Highlights

Please tell us about the circumstances or events that led to the founding of FSCreation.

The idea to start FSCreation came about when I noticed that the systems in our industry that should have been developed or implemented according to the customer’s requests and requirements were not up to standard; this resulted in the customer’s dissatisfaction with the services available. This led me to believe that there was something between us and our customers; there was a gap in the industry that we could fill by creating FSCreation, a company that leveraged feasibility study techniques in IT planning and securing cloud processes. It was through the process of starting the company that I became convinced that if we applied the feasibility study method to the SI business, we would be able to obtain a better experience for ourselves and our customers.

Setbacks are a part of every growing business. Tell us about a few roadblocks and learning lessons that helped FSCreation grow through the years.

When we first started, we didn’t have a single customer, so we carefully carried out each job that was introduced to us one by one.

From this experience, 1) we carefully considered why our customers chose us, 2) we found that it was necessary to produce results that met or even exceeded customers’ expectations, and 3) as a result, we learned the importance of doing our best to ensure that neither our customers nor we have any regrets.

After conducting a feasibility study, we were able to agree on the general direction, but we encountered technical hurdles in implementing the project in detail, which required a longer-than-expected construction period.

For this, 1) we learned the Japanese language is at a slight disadvantage when it comes to utilizing AI that originated overseas (compared to Western languages, it has not caught up in terms of functionality), and 2) we learned that in order to meet customer requirements, creative thinking and trial and error are necessary.

Q. As a leading cloud migration services provider, what are FSCreation’s key focus areas?

Although we have not narrowed down the industry, we expect to continue doing business centered on Microsoft services.

Currently, we are further improving the technical skills and experience of our employees so that we can flexibly respond to IT democratization, multi-cloud, etc.

Q. What strategies do you have in place to encourage innovation in your company?

We provide our engineers with an Azure cloud usage environment worth 10,000 yen per month. We encourage them to deepen their understanding of both old and new technologies by not only acquiring knowledge from literature but also by actually verifying their operation.

The salary is set a little higher than the average monthly salary in Japan. Average monthly salary for Japanese university graduates: 230,000 yen; starting salary at our company: 300,000 yen.

Although it is ultimately up to the individual to decide what to use their salary for, we encourage them to invest in themselves. You can go on a trip, start learning English, or invest.

It is important to experience, know, and be moved. I believe that the accumulation of these things, such as acquiring non-technical knowledge, gaining experience, and honing one’s sensibilities, will lead to innovation, although it may be a long shot.

We also believe that each employee’s self-investment will surely enrich each employee’s life.

Tell us what’s next for FSCreation Co. Ltd.

We aim to continue to be a company that can truly serve as an advisor to our customers. In line with this vision, FSCreation plans to become a company that can propose safe and ‘correct’ (ethical correctness, not just operations and functions) utilization methods in the business industry against the democratization of IT, which is progressing rapidly.

As a team, we also want to become a company that can propose and implement ways to solve real corporate problems with IT, such as ‘not giving in to the harmful effects of silos within companies’.

Q. Is there anything you would like to add before we wrap up?

We are very grateful to have been given this opportunity. We feel truly blessed.

Since our inception, we’ve enjoyed support from various companies, and we are fortunate to have a dedicated and talented staff. It is due to this combined support and the efforts of our exceptional team that we are able to persist and thrive in our business endeavors today.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
