The Silicon Review
Perforce is one of the trustworthy companies committed to solving development challenges. Enterprises across the globe rely on Perforce as the foundation for successful DevOps. Designed with DevOps in mind, the Perforce portfolio of tools facilitates fast and high-quality product development. It provides version control with version source code and digital assets which has an unmatched speed, scale, and global collaboration. The company also helps in agile planning, application lifecycle management, static code analysis etc.
HelixCore: It is a Version Control Software for Accelerated Development. Helix Core securely versions source code and all digital assets even large binary files in a single repository. It scales for large teams, handles 1,000s of daily transactions, and delivers files quickly to remote users.
And Helix Core integrates with the tools the developers and designers are already using to keep them productive.
Helix4Git: Helix4Git is a new type of depot. It leverages the power and scale of the Helix server, and it lets the clients manage Git repos natively. Even better, Helix4Git is easy to implement without changing clients’ existing toolset.
When Helix4Git and Helix Core are combined, it can be scaled without limits and can handle large binary assets — unlike Git LFS. This combination empowers developer teams to use Git at massive scale.
Hansoft Agile Planning Tool: Hansoft is an enterprise agile planning tool that provides a single platform for decision-making at the project, program, and portfolio levels. Whether it is diverse and dispersed teams, expanding the scale, changing goals, tight schedules, Hansoft solves the whirlwind of challenges organizations facing today. So one can plan, track, and manage the products to stay competitive.
Helix TeamHub: It improves collaboration for teams of all sizes from nimble start-ups to large global teams.
Helix Swarm: Helix Swarm easily organizes tens of thousands of enterprise code review tickets at once. Monitor progress, automate design processes and improve release quality, all with one solution.
Version Control: Version control is incredibly important, especially in today's high-paced environment with increasingly shorter product release cycles. By tracking changes across all software assets and facilitating seamless collaboration, a version control systemallow development and DevOps teams to build and ship better products faster.
Application Lifecycle Management: The company helps its clients to effectively manage the lifecycle. The application development lifecycle includes requirements, tests, and issues. It runs continuously up until a product reaches the end of life.
But many organizations struggle to effectively manage application development lifecycles. This typically happens if they have a different tool for each element e.g., requirements in Microsoft Word, test cases in Microsoft Excel, and bugs in Jira.
Project Portfolio Management: It helps to develop a strategic portfolio of the right projects.
DevOps:Through best-in-class Agile planning, project lifecycle management, developer collaboration, and version control tools, Perforce helps drive DevOps initiatives forward by uniting teams in their quest for continuous delivery.
Artifact Management: Perforce offers two artifact repository tools that help teams create a single source of truth, and easily track source code dependencies across their artifact library.
Audit and Compliance: Audits and compliance are important in software development. And they're a must for safety-critical industries, including Aerospace and defense, Automotive, and Medical device. These industries are highly regulated. And every piece of embedded software and hardware that’s developed, needs to comply with standards.
IP Protection: The Helix Version Control System is the world's most securable version control system, providing enterprise-grade control and traceability for valuable IP assets.
