The Silicon Review
Despite vast amounts being spent on cybersecurity solutions, data breaches are happening more than ever before. Traditional methods to solve these breaches are inefficient, requiring IT staff to use a variety of complex tools to identify and stop threats. The problem with this approach is that 95% of attacks infiltrate or corrupt data within a few hours of a breach hardly giving enough time for smart humans to react.
Seceon recognized this flaw and developed a more effective solution. It established an approach that deploys analysis of all traffic, flows and processes in and out of the network and correlates them near-simultaneously with behavioral analytics, recognized and zero-day exploits and policies to surface threats and propose responses in near-record real-time. Moreover, this approach can easily be deployed within a few short hours in an organization of any size with little to no cybersecurity expertise required of enterprise or service provider staff.
Real-time threat detection and remediation system
Seceon is focused on enabling organizations to see cyber threats clearly and quickly, stop threats from inflicting extensive damage through surgical containment and elimination, and predicting insider attacks through behavioral threat detection modeling and machine learning. Its innovative Open Threat Management (OTM) Platform uses patent-pending predictive analytics, machine learning, and dynamic threat models with behavioral analytics to automatically generate plain English, prioritized threat alerts in real-time, giving IT teams the ability to both detect and respond to the threats before critical data is ex-filtrated and damage is done. Seceon’s OTM Platform closes the threat loop by seeing and stopping the threats in a proactive manner.
Seceon offers an affordable, comprehensive solution that detects and eliminates threats in real-time, while being suitable for organizations of any size or security expertise. Seceon’s subscription-based, environment-agnostic solution provides automated detection and alerts to prioritized threats through a single application that identifies both known and zero-day threats, automated detection and response, and human-independent operation.
Eliminating security threats with OTM platform
Seceon’s OTM Platform helps customers detect threats as they happen and enables them to take immediate action on all those threats. Seceon’s platform is unique, as it is capable of handling millions of inputs from logs and flows and correlates them together into actionable alerts that can be put into action automatically or with the simple human push of a button. Because of its ability to scale at speed, the platform can process data in real time—ingesting and running threat models through DRAM; updating and activating these models within minutes through advanced correlation with intelligent application of machine learning—and therefore “see” how systems talk to each other.
This capability allows the system to look for anomalies and correlate them to get full view while minimizing false positives and then triggers easy to understand alerts with associated appropriate actions for elimination and remediation. The entire process takes the system just minutes to analyze and take action vs. current systems that require human analysis and input over the course of several hours or days to pinpoint the severity of the threat and necessary actions.
Seceon: A class apart
Seceon has grown from zero to 35 successful enterprise and managed service provider customer deployments—spanning the Fortune 500 to SMB businesses in the technology, healthcare and financial sectors—securing millions of devices, users and critical resources with continued aggressive pursuit of the Fortune 5 million. After launching the commercial availability of its product in April 2016, Seceon has been releasing one major release every quarter with improvements in machine learning, dynamic threat models, multi-tenancy and scaling. More recently, the company announced two new solutions, “aiSIEM” and “aiMSSP” that are borne out of their innovative Open Threat Management Platform.
Seceon has positioned itself as a leader in the cybersecurity space. It has always focused on providing a solution for any size or type of organization and has always worked to improve its solution to empower customers. It is incorporating real-time threat intelligence and detection, increased speed and visibility, and the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence. These technologies allow it to provide an automated, affordable, fast and effective solution to the market. Presently, Seceon serves mid-to-large enterprises and MSSPs, and has customers in finance, healthcare, travel and hospitality, telco’s, government.
The roadmap to success
Through customer research, Seceon has identified an unmet need in the marketplace to help protect small-to-medium sized businesses, which because of limited resources, tend to be the most vulnerable to even the least sophisticated of attacks. Often, these smaller enterprises turn to managed security service providers (MSSPs) for expertise and protection. Yet, these MSSPs are constrained themselves to provide affordable services that give customers what they need at a reasonable price, but allow for a profitable revenue stream.
However, Seceon’s award-winning OTM platform supports MSSP requirements and gives them a path to market that provides enterprises with a robust level of protection and provides value-added services that they can build a profitable business around. This opens up the vastly underserved market of the Fortune 5000 and beyond, allowing these customers access to the industry’s best threat detection and remediation services at a price point they can afford. Going forward, Seceon will remain focused on providing the ability for organizations of any size or technical talent to have access to its technology to better protect critical data from loss or damage.
