The First Step
SURE Qualify was the first product launched by BROWZ, and now serves as the foundation of the company’s supply chain management product suite. SURE Qualify enables companies to identify risk within their supply chain, in key areas such as insurance and risk, environmental health and safety, corporate social responsibility, financial stability, supplier emographics, security, and much more. SURE Qualify also includes consultative recommendations regarding best practices, online assessments, third-party validation, patented technology, and personalized support, ensuring that companies are working with the safest and most reliable members of their supply chain.

How successful was your first project roll out?
In the early years of BROWZ, our solutions were most sought after by heavily regulated industries such as mining and utilities. We are pleased to say that our first customer remains a satisfied customer more than 15 years later.

What kind of mixed responses have you received from your consumers over the years? How have they motivated you to shape your offerings/grow the company?
Our customers play a critical role in the development of our product. We strive to listen to our customers and create
solutions that add value to their company. Each of our products has originated from challenges that our customers faced. One
example is the request to have contractor qualification data available via mobile devices, as many clients are working out in the field, away from their desktops. BROWZ answered this request in 2015, we are now the proud recipient of a number of mobile awards including the 2015 Mobby Awards and The Best Mobile App Awards.

Are there any trigger factors/events/individuals that have played key roles in shaping your organization’s road map?
As companies increased outsourcing functions within their supply chain, BROWZ was well positioned to support them. We don’t see that trend to outsource changing anytime soon. BROWZ is the solution these organizations turn to, to ensure their contractors, suppliers and vendors are qualified to meet their needs. Working with BROWZ, hiring organizations are better able to mitigate risk that otherwise may have gone unnoticed.

Do you have any new products ready to be/getting ready to be rolled out into the market?
BROWZ is constantly working with our clients to identify and develop new products. There will be significant roll outs during 2017. Keep an eye out in November 2016. We have a major announcement that is going to significantly change the way our clients manage their supply chains.

Where do you see you and your company a couple of years from now?
BROWZ is growing at an incredible rate, both in the depth of the offering and global expansion of our client base. In the coming years we will not only deepen our product offering but continue to expand our global presence, serving the world’s most respected brands.

How do you and your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?
In 2001, BROWZ founders recognized a significant gap within the procurement, safety and risk space. At launch, there really was no single solution to address the complexities of supply chain qualification. In most cases, even the most sophisticated organizations were relying on paper documents and spreadsheets to track critical contractor documents. BROWZ has addressed those needs and today has demonstrable statistics that illustrate the improvements in safety that can be realized when companies implement consistent procedures to track and address risk using the BROWZ solution.

What challenges did you face in your initial years? What can your peers learn from it?
Early on, our greatest challenge was educating prospective customers about the need for contractor prequalification. As the economy drove an increase in outsourcing the BROWZ solution became a necessity for enterprise organizations that were committed to mitigating third party risk. Today, contractor qualification and management is considered a best practice. BROWZ is a member of the highly recognized Campbell Institute who has published an extensive study discussing the
best practice of contractor prequalification and management.

She’s driven for excellence, has a proven track record for developing high performing teams, and a reputation for results. Clients can be confident that her focus is on their success, and her commitment and reputation for meeting and exceeding client expectations.

Elaine’s experience at companies such as Bowne & Company and Seagram & Sons provided her with global experience leading businesses, manufacturing, and technology across a diverse group of businesses. Ms. Elaine holds an MBA from Columbia
University and a BA from the State University of New York at Albany.
