Interview Excerpt: Ran Berger, CEO & Founder

Why was the company set up? How did you select the vertical and decide to be a part of the global platform?

The company was established 9 years ago in London. The reason behind its creation is our love for the way in which technologies push the boundaries of conventional thinking and serve to bring significant change in the business world.

During the years there have been so many factors and events that made an impact but I can say that our company’s DNA is the one shaping our organization and enabling its growth: With the right foundations we are able to accommodate constant growth and change.

Can you share some information about one of the early stages projects roll on? Share the experience.

The Brompton Bicycles project, our first, started with the bike-builder which allows users to customize each part of a bike they want to purchase, thus fully matching their taste, style, physique, and sense of comfort. The project transformed into a long-term relationship with a fully dedicated team working for Brompton.

Based in London, Brompton produces over 45,000 bikes a year and is the UK’s largest bike manufacturer, so we were very happy to start this partnership. We have developed for them a custom web application and an extranet system from scratch, thus allowing the company to run their business and easily sell their products via their distribution network.

What were the grounds on which you have expanded your company and its offerings over the years?

It is all about reputation and the ability to deliver as well as the vision to scale. Leading technology service oriented company nowadays means that you need to accommodate all kinds of challenges simultaneously. You need to accommodate and meet your main stakeholders (employees, clients, and suppliers) expectation in a fast moving and changing the environment. One of the key decisions we have taken was to open an office in Varna, Bulgaria, mainly because of the talent, IT skills, and language proficiency pool that the country offers. Actually, most of the university students here graduate in education fields suitable for the IT and outsourcing industry. Opening the office in Bulgaria was a huge leap but proved to be a solid base for our recent year’s growth.

How do your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?

We are creating products that we believe are helping the business as a whole. This is why we have created Insurance Vault, which is an Android and iOS application that allows people to quickly and easily store and manage insurance data, set reminders and get quotes for their new insurances.

One of our last projects was the design of a chatbot that helps digital marketing businesses around the world to take the burden of tedious and repetitive conversations from the employees and gather data for them by communicating with clients thus letting the people do more creative tasks. This is actually saving the companies lots of hours and money.

Do you have any new products ready to be/getting ready to be rolled out into the market?

You can actually see some of the products on our website. Apart from that, the team is now working on a new mobile application that will help people organize their business connections. Business cards will never be buried in pockets and bags again.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

I see our company developing skills and experience in some of the most disruptive technologies such as IoT, Big Data, Machine Learning and few others. In addition, we will continue to amend our delivery approach towards fast turnaround of MVP to accommodate our clients’ requirements to rapidly test new ideas.
