Snowflake Computing was established in 2012 by Bob Muglia (CEO), Headquartered at Ellsworth Ave Suite, San Mateo United States.  “We are a team of data professionals changing how people use data. Our mission: To safely and efficiently store, transform and analyze business data so anyone can easily and quickly gain data-driven insight. Founded with a vision to efficiently store and access all your data from one location, we designed a completely new SQL data warehouse built for the cloud for enterprises large and small” – says Team.

The Foundation

Snowflake is the leading data warehouse built for the cloud. Its unique architecture delivers proven breakthroughs in performance, concurrency and simplicity. For the first time, multiple groups can access petabytes of data at the same time, up to 200 times faster and 10 times less expensive than solutions not built for the cloud.

Snowflake is a fully-managed service with a pay-as-you-go-model that works on structured and semi-structured data. Prior generations of data warehouses created the struggle for data which results in groups waiting in line to get at data; not looking at the same data; and, wondering if they’re acting on the most recent data. Snowflake’s data warehouse built for the cloud finally ends this struggle. With Snowflake, you get your data without limits.

“Our values represent who we are day in and day out-We focus on doing what is right for our customers, shareholders, and employees. We create great products and services as individual contributors and as a team”

Conventional data warehouses and big data solutions increasingly struggle to deliver on their fundamental purpose: to make it easy to amass all your data, enable rapid analytics, and quickly make data insights available to all of your users and systems that need them.

“To solve that, we built a new SQL data warehouse from the ground up for the cloud, one designed with a patented new architecture to handle todays and tomorrow’s data and analytics”- says Team

Solving the challenges of data analytics

Traditional data warehouses have not kept up with the demand for data and analytics. And big data solutions come with complexities and limitations to meet the data-driven needs of today’s organizations. Snowflake offers a data warehouse built for the cloud, one designed for the performance, simplicity and concurrency needed for modern data analytics.

A modern solution for modern analytics

Traditional data warehousing solutions were not designed for today’s needs. Their cost, inflexibility and complexity impede them from keeping up with rapidly growing and changing data, applications, and user needs. Those limitations have led to a proliferation of formal and informal data marts, which silo data and add cost and administrative overhead.

Snowflake’s unique architecture makes it possible to consolidate data marts. You can amass your data in Snowflake to support your current and future workloads and concurrency without performance contention, enabling the flexibility and agility needed to adapt to evolving demands.

Consolidate data marts- Take advantage of a modern architecture that makes it possible to bring together all your data in one place and make it available to all your users and applications.

Handle any scale of data- workload and users- Deliver rapid data insights at any scale of data, workload and concurrency without the complexity and headaches of traditional data warehouse or noSQL solutions.

Support modern data and applications- Build and deploy innovative applications based on analytics, delivered by a data warehouse that can seamlessly adapt to rapidly growing and changing demands and scale.

Case study

The explosion of digital channels for advertising and media has created a flood of data generated by consumers’ interaction with digital content and advertising. That flood has strained companies’ ability to turn that data into valuable insights about segmentation, audience behavior and customer conversions. Traditional data analytics solutions struggle to keep up with the demands on data and bring crippling complexity and cost.

Snowflake’s data warehouse built for the cloud rapidly and easily integrates diverse data such as audience profiles, impressions and actions. This approach enables advanced analytics to better segment and target customers for increased engagement and conversion.

Snowflake Computing Empowers Accordant Media’s Optimized Media Purchasing.

This case study documents the impacts of the Snowflake Computing platform on the Accordant Media organization. It also details the value of the Elastic Data Warehouse to Accordant Media, particularly its technical infrastructure and analytical results teams. Highlights from Accordant Media’s implementation of the Snowflake Computing cloud-based solution include the following:

  • 80% reduction in time spent on the creation of each environment.
  • 3–5x improvement in both analytical responsive time frames and iterations.
  • 7 x improvements in target audience audit reported.
