Artista network partners with VMware and Zscaler, to develop a consistent cloud security

Artista network partners with VMware and Zscaler, to develop a consistent cloud security

Artista Networks, an American networking company is teaming up with VMware and Zscaler to provide a secured and reliable security policy to its customers. The announcement was made public on Tuesday.

The collaboration with VMware will help Artista to establish a common security plan for virtual and physical workloads. And Zscaler will help the networking company to bring Zscaler traffic security in Artista’s east-west traffic security.

The security policy of VMware’s NSX network virtualization platform allows its engines to have full control over virtual machines. The process is known as micro-segmentation. Now, the company is using NSX’s micro-segmentation capability to deploy the same security to physical machines that might be used in the data centers along with the virtual machines.

According to Artista, nowadays, the security problem that every organization is facing across the globe is to establish a secured security solution on their own. Even if a company has a policy in their own data center network and policy in the cloud network, it will be very hard to manage all the security policies together.

“We’re bringing the physical to VMware that it wouldn’t otherwise see into their security domain. The security policy is coming from VMware and being used by Arista switches. Most networks might not be 100 percent virtualized. This is common policy across the entire data center, which includes physical and virtual.” said Jeff Raymond, Arista’s VP of EOS products and services.
