Amazon Introduces a New Payment Method Called Amazon PayCode

e-Commerce giant Amazon has introduced a new payment method - AmazonPayCode for making online shopping easier.

The expansion of payment method comes after Amazon collaborated with Western Union in October. Amazon PayCode is specifically meant for the international customers, whenever any customer purchases a product from Amazon.com, they can make the payment in person through their local currency. The payment must be done at a Western Union agent. With this, Amazon will cater the customers in different parts of the world and allow them to choose a variety of products that are not available in the local markets yet.

The merchants who confirm the payment will ship the order to the cited address mentioned in the checkout page. The new payment option will be only available to the merchants who are registered to Western Union. According to sources, few products on the Amazon.in were also spotted of having the new payment option.

Amazon.com already has a good number of products which shows the new payments option. If any customer buys a product, he/she needs to click the Amazon PayCode option during the checkout process. The merchant will ask for additional information for processing the payment at a Western Union agent location. Once the verification process is done, the users will get a code and instructions to complete the payment at a registered Western Union agent location.

The code must be provided to the Western Union agent along with a photo ID to carry out the payment of the order. The photo ID must match with the information provided during the checkout. In the final step, Amazon will confirm the payment from the agent and after that, the user will get a confirmation mail regarding the payment and shipping on their registered email address.

Amazon PayCode can be used within 48 hours after ordering any product, if any user fails to confirm the payment then the order will be canceled automatically.
