Snapchat rolls out new spectacles called V2
The Silicon Review
27 April, 2018

The America based social media app, Snapchat, has introduced a new model of a spectacle called V2. It is packed with some new features and updates like water resistance and has prescription options with faster sync. The lenses are lighter and the frame along with the charging case is much slimmer than the previous version.

V2 has been furnished with some striking design, as it is slimmer than the previous version which will allow the people to carry them in their pockets. The case is very compact making it easier to carry around. There are few more tweaks involved in the creation of the new version giving it the feel of sunglasses rather than of a gadget. Snap has also improved the transfer speed between its Spectacles and phones. The water-resistant glasses will allow people to wear it at shallow depths so that they can safely dive into a pool with them. The device also has an inbuilt charger which has also been made splash-proof.

Furthermore, photos and videos are now in high definition, and there’s no standard-definition mode anymore. People can click photos by just tapping the top button and can also take a 10-second video. Priced at $150, the spectacles are currently available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and France. The spectacles will be available for the rest of Europe by May 3rd.
