Belkin Introduces Wireless Charging Pad for iPhone

siliconreview Belkin Introduces Wireless Charging Pad for iPhone

The American consumer electronics manufacturer, Belkin has launched a new boost up wireless charging pad for iPhone 8, iPhone 8Plus and iPhone X that will be available on the Amazon from this week.

With this new boost up charging device, users can charge at levels up to 7.5W for compatible devices that is higher than the standard 5W chargers. It is designed in such a way that people will not have to remove the plastic cases (up to 3mm thick) when they use the new Belkin wireless charging pads. However, it’s not supported with plastic cases. There is a green LED in the charging pad that indicates the charging and it turns into amber color when there is an object comes in between the device and the charging pad or if the handset is not aligned properly.

Furthermore, the company conducted a wireless global consumer insights study earlier this year to understand charging behavior and purchasing preferences of users while designing the product. While the company was creating its first products in 1983 with cables, it led to the creation of the first intelligent cable which was first used in Apple's first portable computer.

"With the new Boost Up wireless charging pad for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, we deliver the best cable-free and convenient charging solution for users," said Steve Malony, General Manager and Vice President of Belkin.
