Interxion gets direct connection to Google Cloud Platform

Interxion gets direct connection to Google Cloud Platform

Interxion, the Netherlands-based data storage services company has announced that its dedicated access to Google Cloud Platform is now available across Europe through its multi-cloud interconnection platform, Cloud Connect.

“We are seeing strong demand for private connectivity services to GCP as customers look to reap the benefits of Google Cloud's full portfolio of cloud services via a secure, performant, and cost-efficient connection,” said Vincent in’t Veld, vice president, platforms, Interxion.

Customers based in Paris, France, Germany, and Sweden can connect to Google cloud platform through Cloud Interconnect points of presents (PopS0) which is deployed in the respective regions. For the rest of Europe, customers can also connect from any of Interxion’s data centres across Europe via Cloud Connect.

The benefits that the customers will get from the service will include: immediate access to Google Cloud Platform from multiple urban areas, ensuring a cent percent accessibility SLA without the difficulty and costs of having to build a networking solution themselves.

According to Google Cloud, the dedicated interconnected and partner interconnect will allow the Google Cloud customers to connect from various hybrid cloud environments. By integrating Interxion and Google Cloud Platform, customers can now extend their on-premises infrastructure to the Google Cloud Platform. By colocating at Interxion, businesses can integrate their private cloud to Google Cloud, as well as to most other leading cloud platforms, making it simple to make hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
