Nokia the Finnish Company is now Focusing on Liquid - Cooling Technology to Transform Cell Phones
The Silicon Review
06 March, 2019

We all know that the technology that keeps smartphones up and going is the liquid-cooling technology. Many might find this as a surprise that these pocket-sized devices completely depend on networks of “base stations.” The stations optimize antennas to send and receive radio waves because every mobile phone needs radio waves. The fan system is further used at the base station to cool the phones. But now as an alternative to the Finland technology company - Nokia is under the development of a new process which is the use of liquid cooling. Harry Kuosa of the Nokia Networks said that this innovation is now using a liquid as a coolant. It is because liquids are more effective than air in the transfer of heat. Hence, the same can be applied to the base station as well. With this, it is possible to cut down energy consumption by 30 per cent. Furthermore, carbon dioxide emissions will also be cut down by 80 per cent.

According to experts, this is a new move that can prove to be one of the greatest steps to evolve mobile phones. We will have to wait and see how the pioneer in phone developing company uses this tech to further develop its phone and bring a change in the world.
