Bright Machines Introduces AI-Driven Automation for Factories

Bright Machines, an American software company, has launched a new product known as “microfactories”, Reuters reported. The development was announced on Wednesday. The AI-driven product is exclusively designed to automate the assembly of electronics.

In regard to the importance of automation in factories, machines have dodged electronic makers due to their time-consuming programming and electronics designs changes fast.

The size of microfactories is almost the size of a large fridge. Microfactories consists of pods and have robotics, sensors, and software. The machines carry out tasks such as inserting delicate memory or processors chips onto circuit boards.

Incorporated in 2018, the brainchild behind Bright Machines was the former employees of Autodesk Inc and Flex Ltd. The company raised $179 billion in fundings last year and currently employs 400 people.

One of the founders of the company, Mr. Hanspal, spoke exclusively to Reuters and said that Bright Machines has been working with different brands in over 12 locations across India, Mexico, United States, China, Hungary, and Romania.

He also said that the firm’s customers were not revealed by the person but it’s been the customers use machines to create devices such as networking gears for data centers, etc. The company has also inked deals worth $100 million in sales over the next 18 months.

The new innovation is a big boost for Bright Machines in terms of growth. As a young company, Bright Machines will look to compete with other startups across America.
