This week several athletes of Special Olympics are set to compete with each other in tournaments of Madden NFL 22, Forza Motorsport 7, and Rocket League

In recent years gaming has managed to gain immense traction and it is moving towards the culture of creating accessibility now. Esports has rose up the ranks and competitive sports are held which so far has felt very exclusive. Recent reports from various sources suggests that Special Olympics and Xbox are now working closely to create an event to combine inclusion and competition. This week several athletes of Special Olympics are set to compete with each other in tournaments of Madden NFL 22, Forza Motorsport 7, and Rocket League.

The Special Olympics athletes will be playing with several celebrity supporters like NFL legend Jamaal Charles, NBA player Jason Tatum, WNBA legend Jewell Loyd, and WWE Superstars Ember Moon and Domnik Mysterio. Xbox Social Impact’s Head Jenn Panattoni has stated that the tournament is very meaningful and an important step towards making esports more empowering and accessible. Jenn furthermore added that the company has spent a lot to make increase the accessibility of the products. Xbox will continue to strive to make sure that the players feel welcomed and more features can be expected. Recording work for the event is going on right now and it will be broadcasted worldwide from next week.
