Mango forged ahead with US expansion with an aim to open 40 stores by end of 2024

In Mango's strategic vision for 2024, there is a focus on expanding its presence in the United States. As part of this goal, Mango has recently opened a 400-square-meter store dedicated to its women's line in San Diego's Fashion Valley shopping district. The store features the 'New Med' interior design concept, which pays homage to the brand's Mediterranean roots and is characterized by warm, neutral colors and natural materials like ceramics, wood, and marble. Daniel López, Mango's director of expansion and franchises, expressed excitement about the expansion in San Diego, following successful openings in New York, Miami, Texas, Georgia, and Los Angeles. The company aims to establish 40 locations across the US by the end of 2024, with upcoming openings planned in Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

The initiative to strengthen Mango's presence in the US began in 2022, intending to make the country one of its top revenue-generating markets. Alongside expanding its retail network, Mango plans to enhance its online presence through its e-commerce platform and prominent marketplaces. Mango's expansion in the US started with the flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York in 2006 and continued with expansions in Florida in 2022 and Texas, Georgia, and California in 2023. Efforts to boost its presence in the US were highlighted by the renovation of the flagship store in Soho, New York, in 2017 and a strategic partnership with Macy's in 2019 to expand its online reach.
