Holy Communion was also administered to both Biden and his personal assistants.

US President Joe Biden requested a private mass be organized in India, where he was attending the 18th Group of 20 Summit. Father Nicolas Dias, Secretary for the Liturgy Commission for the Delhi Archdiocese, received a call from the US Embassy in New Delhi to request the private service on Biden's behalf. The meeting took place on September 9th and lasted 20 minutes. Father Nicolas had prepared a minute-by-minute liturgy, with President Biden also involved in reciting the prayers.

Holy Communion was also administered to both Biden and his personal assistants. Father Nicolas took the intention of praying for the success of the G20 Summit and the good of both countries, India and America. Father Nicolas shared that the starting point of their discussion was Biden's grandmother's faith, emphasizing that it was an occasion for him to be in faith and fellowship with America's president, who is a born Catholic and devout Catholic. This meeting signifies Biden's religious commitment carrying over to his presidential duties and his appreciation for keeping faith in his life.
