Humans are always in search of love and companionship. With busy schedules and lifestyles, they want someone to make them happy and feeling of wanting. While some seek their friends and families, but for many, it is pets whom they consider their companion. Owing pets is one of the most comforting and adventurous decisions for anyone to take. They are known to be great stress-busters and provide them with unconditional love. While pet care apps are already popular in western countries, their use has surged two-fold post covid. This is more so because, since the covid situation, people are working from home and the pets make it difficult for them to concentrate on the work. Imagine if you are attending a video-call meeting with your boss, and your dog starts barking because he is hungry; how embarrassing the situation would be. In such circumstances, the need for such pet care apps becomes more necessary.

At PetDesk, they are inspired by the healthcare professionals that tirelessly work to improve the lives of animals, everywhere. The company understands the unique challenges the industry faces, and is passionate about providing solutions that support veterinary staff, pet parents, and pets.  Since founding the company in 2013, they’ve made it their mission to build technology that helps you better connect with pet parents. The company's vision is to generate 10 million additional years of pet life over the next ten years and collect the data to prove it. To get there, they follow The Three Laws of PetDesk which are non-negotiable and give us the North Star they always need to make the right decisions. Thousands of veterinary practices use PetDesk to assist their staff, expand their business, and guide clients to better care. With PetDesk's 5-star rated mobile app, automated reminders, texting platform, and other engagement tools, clinics retain their best clients that put care first and find more "CareFirst" clients just like them. All for a less stressful, more successful clinic.

Combatting the “Commoditization” of Care

Where clients used to take pet health questions to their local vet, or ask friends and family for referrals, they’re now taking them to the Internet by looking to Google or Yelp for guidance. Even big-box retailers like Walmart are now offer annual exams and deworming, taking independent clinics out of the equation. Instead of seeing veterinary care as a high-value, unique service for pets, many clients now just view care as a commodity – cheap and fast. PetDesk provides a clinic’s clients with a single app for their pets’ health, and connects clients with their clinic so they can make more informed pet health decisions. (In other words: they take their questions to you, not Dr. Google). Rather than playing by other platforms’ rules that weren’t built for vets—like Google and Facebook—clinics use PetDesk to take on a more proactive advising role with their clients and guide them to more services for better care.

Achieve a more predictable, profitable schedule by sending targeted campaigns, newsletters, and other promotions alongside routine reminders. PetDesk’s Loyalty program also increases visit frequency and encourages clients to spend more at each visit. Clients that participate in loyalty programs spend up to 35% more with your clinic annually! Free up time for clinic staff to give clients a better experience by giving them tools that free up phone lines, take payments asynchronously, allow clients to request appointments, and automatically confirm client appointments. Pet insurance can be a touchy subject, but research shows that clients with pet insurance spend up to 92% more on vet care! So let PetDesk handle those hard conversations around pet insurance: they give your clients access to an insurance marketplace and educational content so they make the best decision for their financial situation

Core Platform

Save your staff valuable time, and help your clients prioritize care with their automated reminder system, online requests, and mobile app. The company's mobile app supports pet health compliance, reducing call volume, and overall communication. Instead of sticky note reminders that somehow always get lost, or listening to boring hold music, their appointment request technology saves time for everyone with an easy-to-use interface. With text, email, postcards, and push notification reminders, the rate of missed appointments will plummet! Use PetDesk to connect in ways that matter with custom messages and offers. Remind clients when they are due for routine service and preventative care by text message, email, push notification, and postcard.
