Instead of being restricted to a browser window, developers may now operate their game streaming services through native apps

If you think cloud gaming has a bright future, you will notice that Apple's restriction of these services on its devices is one of the biggest obstacles to the technology's widespread adoption. Apple has kept the doors to the App Store closed up until now, allowing services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now to only work through its Safari browser. Finally, that policy is about to change. Apple revealed that cloud gaming services will now be able to access the App Store in a blog post on its developer website. Instead of being restricted to a browser window, developers may now operate their game streaming services through native apps on gadgets like the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

Apple is launching fresh options today for how apps may provide consumers with in-app experiences around the world, such as mini-programs and streaming games. Developers now have the option to submit a single app that can stream every game in their catalog. Additionally, apps will have the capacity to offer improved ways for users to discover plug-ins, chatbots, streaming games, and mini-apps. The business is planning to permit developers to use the in-app purchase system for all the mini-games, mini-apps, and more inside the larger app, in addition to allowing cloud gaming services into the App Store.
